 Thomas Draving is a South Florida watercolor artist painting and selling watercolor paintings in South Florida. His paintings are shown all over South Florida. He enjoys the beaches, the ocean, boating, wildlife and nature.
Thomas Draving was born in Pennsylvania. He studied mechanical design at Spring Garden College in Philadelphia. While in his 30's he attended the Stone Harbor School of Art in New Jersey. After moving to Florida he joined the Gold Coast Watercolor Society for watercolor artists where he continued to study as a watercolor artist. His Florida watercolor art has been shown in fine art galleries throughout South Florida. His Florida paintings are watercolors full of South Florida color and design. Florida watercolor artist Thomas Draving enjoys making watercolor art of the beaches, seashore, boatyards, the local wildlife and art landscapes. The colors of the ocean, surrounding array of plants and flowers and the architecture of the Florida beaches have inspired his work as a Florida watercolor artist. Most of his paintings are a result of his vivid imagination. His watercolors are varied in content and very colorful. His watercolor paintings have been shown throughout South Florida.
Thomas’s watercolor paintings have been shown in Broward Community College Baily Hall, Schacknow Museum of Fine Arts, Nova Southeastern University, Coral Springs City Hall, Pembroke Pines City Hall Glass Gallery, Ann Kolb’s Nature Center, Hollywood Library, Florida International University, Parker Playhouse, Disney/SBA National Entrepreneur Center in Orlando, Wyland Galleries in Key West, Florida and the Broward County Library in downtown Ft . Lauderdale, Florida.
Thomas Draving is the editor of the newsletter for the Hollywood Art Guild, a member of the Florida Watercolor Society, has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Nova Southeastern University, and is an elected member of the Art Selection Committee for the City of Hollywood in Florida. He hopes to open a fine art gallery for Florida watercolor artists.
