Thomas Draving is a watercolor artist, painting and selling
watercolors in South Florida. His paintings are shown all over South
Florida. He enjoys the beaches, the ocean, boating, wildlife and nature.
Thomas Draving was born in Pennsylvania. He studied mechanical
design at Spring Garden College in Philadelphia. While in his 30's he
attended the Stone Harbor School of Art in New Jersey. After moving to
Florida he joined the Gold Coast Watercolor Society for watercolor
artists where he continued to study as a watercolor artist. His artwork is
shown in fine art galleries throughout South Florida. His Florida paintings
are watercolors full of color and design. He enjoys the beaches, seashore,
boatyards, the local wildlife and art landscapes. The colors of the ocean,
surrounding array of plants and flowers and the architecture of
the Florida beaches have inspired his work as an artist. Most of his
paintings are a result of his vivid imagination. His watercolors are a
varied in content and very colorful.
Thomas’s watercolor paintings have been shown in Broward
Community College Bailey Hall, Coral Springs City Hall, Pembroke Pines City
Hall Glass Gallery, Ann Kolb’s Nature
Center, Hollywood Library, Hollywood
City Hall, Florida International University, Parker Playhouse, Disney/SBA
National Entrepreneur Center in Orlando, Wyland Galleries in Key West,
Florida, Broward County Library in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, the
Great Florida Bank in Ft Lauderdale, Florida and the Fred Lippman
Multi-Purpose Center in Hollywood, Florida. Currently his paintings are in
Hollywood City Hall in Hollywood, Florida, the Comfort Zone on Harrison
Street in Hollywood, Florida, Florida Yacht Interiors in Dania Beach,
Florida and The Great Florida Bank in Ft. Lauderdale.
Thomas Draving is a resident of Hollywood, Florida, a member of Art
Serve, where he is a recent graduate of AEI - The Artist as an Entrepreneur
Institute and is also a member of the Florida Watercolor Society. He has a
Bachelor of Science Degree from Nova Southeastern University, and is an
elected member of the Art Selection Committee for the City of Hollywood in
Florida. He hopes to open a fine art gallery for Florida watercolor artists.
